I slept in this really pretty inn for one night with two other people. The whole building is pretty unique, especially the rooms. The staff was very professional and warm. Everything was clean and simple at the same time. It was a real pleasure to stay there. Stayed here in Hotel Room 5 on a Saturday night in April. Typical historically old two stores stone hotel ... A very clean pub double bedroom with a flat screen TV and views of the sea. Beautiful warming sun streaming in the morning ... wonderful.

Room was very quiet after dinner service finished down below. The bed was very comfortable... Shared bathrooms that are also used by hotel patrons attending events. They should place locks on the shared bathrooms so that only guests can use the facilities. No warning that a band will play VERY LOUD MUSIC till 12am. Noise carries through the floor from the cleaning staff who work till 2:30am. On arrival we were not made to feel welcome and when we inquired about the included breakfast were told "we don't do that anymore, but I'll see what I can sort out".

The next morning (and every morning) we had to hunt down supplies for our breakfast, there were no plates... Don't let the idea of shared bathrooms above a pub scare you. The spaces are clean and the noise doesn't travel from that historic pub into the charming little guest rooms. The new owners are lovely people who introduced themselves and helped us find things to do. Central location is great for walking around town, and even the Wifi worked! We're back after only a couple of months. Fresh feel with new owners. They were very friendly and helpful from start to finish. We were given a choice of available rooms. The bed was great. New carpet lifts the rooms a bit and the other renos underway should improve the looks. They don't do brekky but No4 across the road... The Cally has so much charm and potential. It just needs a bit of an upgrade to be really outstanding as the fundamentals are all there- fantastic location, history and Victorian architecture. The iron beds were very comfortable, shared bathrooms down the corridor were fine and showers warm.

A paint job, some old prints of Robe, polished floor boards and... We were in Robe for the weekend with friends and went here for dinner.Food was fine and service OK. Pub is in need of an upgrade to its decor , a bit tired and dark.We were seated in booths rather than tables OK but would expect more for The owner of this establishment wasn't exactly welcoming on arrival but did show me to spartan room upstairs. It contained a bed, narrow table, chair and towel rail but the bed was a wrought iron one topped by a lovely mattress and gave a lovely night's sleep. Towels were nice and soft too. The downside was the carpet - it... We have just arrived home from a 3 night stay at the Caledonian Inn in Robe. Three top things on Erics list were comfortable beds plenty of hot water for showering and good meals. The Cali scored ticks in every box plus much more.
