Best sub £1500 Sport bike - CBR 600 F4i Sport Review (self.motorcycles)submitted by Isle of Man - CBR 600 F4i SportAfter riding an R100GS for a year, I decided to get something a little quicker.
An opportunity came up that I couldn't refuse: A 2001 Honda CBR 600 F4i Sport with 10k on the clock. Not only was it always garaged, but had a full Honda service history. The difference between the F4i and F4i Sport is fully adjustable suspension, 2 piece seat and a nice black and red paint job. After picking the bike up and going for a ride, it was brilliant. It doesn't have the low end torque of the BMW, but after 7k RPM it screams to 14k instantly! My two complaints are that the cam chain tensioner rattles at 5k RPM, which is a common problem, and how quiet the exhaust is! I'm definitely getting an aftermarket exhaust, as they are as cheap as £110 new. I did a little video of my first ride, along the Ramsey coast road on the Isle of Man π Rendered by PID 13314 on app-565 at 2016-08-29 11:24:53.925084+00:00 running e331ebd country code: US.
