I adopted her in December and it's been baby steps with her. She was at OA for a few years ...and I know she couldn't even be approached until a special volunteer started working with her.

So she was timid when I brought her home but she tucked herself into our home, gets along great with her brother cat Sambuca and her doggy sister Zoey. She just wasn't much for being held or cuddled. I would like to say that is changing. A couple weeks ago, she started curling up in bed next to my hubby and last night I was extremely happy when she climbed into my lap and curled up while I was watching TV. She's come a long way and we love her to pieces. Patience and perseverance prevails. Both settled in and very quickly became cuddly members of the family. Violet has non-stop energy and ...has adopted all of our cat toys as her own. Gabby is so sweet and affectionate (and has become my desk-kitty), and will often cuddle and groom Violet, or run around the house and play with her depending on their mood.
