She is one of the lucky ones because of her personality she got taken into the rescue the same day. It was said... she was looking after all the kittens in the area. Which she continued to do at the vet office. We have called her Teresa foster home Nancy V will be available for adoption in 10 days. It has become more apparent why her owner left her behind in the apartment. CARMA is thankful someone heard her cries before it was to late. Please never leave your pet behind in apartments. It is not safe sometimes no one goes into the apartment for a long period of time. And by then it is to late. She was brought into our foster care and did great in care. First vet report ...was she was a little over weight. We got her adopted and she was in the home for about 10 days. Cats are animals that do not show signs of illness or pain until they are comfortable.

Once she started fitting in she had some difficultly walking. She was taken to a vet again. This time we did x-ray and found she has severe chronic osteoarthritis in both hips. The vet does feel she can live a quality of life with pain medication. For this reason we would love to find her a new home with someone who already has a cat with the illness. Reasoning the adopter would know the commitment they are getting into not to mention already have and have the knowledge of medications. In the end our goal is to find her a home.If you feel you are the right family for this sweet girl give us a call. She is cat and dog friendly. She needs a family who will love her as she is and for as long as she has. They all need homes. The vet office Maritime Animal Hospital has even agreed to take her on as a new patient to help monitor her health. They are fostering her as well while we try and find her a new home.
