The Saginaw County Mosquito Abatement Commission operates a variety of programs aimed at controlling the area’s mosquito population. One very effective program deals with mosquito habitat reduction. Getting rid of used tires stored behind garages and sheds is a key component in accomplishing this task. Each summer, Mosquito Abatement hosts multiple one-day tire collections for Saginaw County residents. The events are held at various locations around the county to make it as convenient as possible.
