Our English Cream Golden Retrievers, British Cream Golden Retrievers, and White Golden Retrievers are from European decent. They are a stockier dog, with big black eyes. Some English and British Cream Golden Retrievers have a long flowing coat like the American Golden Retriever and some have a straight coat. dogs are very light cream and the lightest color possible for this breed. We have a waiting list for up to 120 dogs at the moment and people are waiting up to three months to buy one of our dogs,” Mr Hams said.It is likely that after 2020, Mr Hams’s third-generation business will close.The Victorian Government will this year introduce legislation to reduce the number of breeding bitches per farm to 10 and limit pet shops to sell cats and dogs only from registered animal shelters.“We’re looking at losing our farm and our house — we couldn’t service our debt (with so few breeding bitches),” Mr Hams said.“Professional breeders and rogue breeders have been tarred with the same brush.”Mr Hams, a Pet Industry Association of Australia board member, said animal welfare was a primary concern at his farm, where a vet was employed one day a week.He agreed greater regulation in the Victorian pet ­industry was needed.“If we remove any form of professional breeding, the only people left will be unprofessional,” he said.“This policy totally ignores that there is a huge demand for puppies.”
