Houses For Sale Muir Road Lochgelly

New affordable housing in Fife In Fife we are committed to deliver 2,700 new affordable homes by May 2017. This programme is a collaboration between affordable housing providers, including Fife Council, Housing Associations, private developers and a number of Scottish Government initiatives. Together we are delivering modern, fit for purpose, energy efficient homes. Fife Council is leading the way in Scotland by investing in its housing stock. This investment is in the form of new build Council homes, benefiting current tenants and generations to come. Watch our video to see how new homes are changing the lives of their new tenants: What new housing is being built in my area? We currenty have a number of homes either under construction, going through the planning process or still at proposal stage. Find out what’s planned for your area here: These new homes offer a real mix of house types. The Council’s new homes range from 1 to 7 bedrooms to complement our existing range of properties.

In several cases the Council is also bringing derelict land (like brownfield sites) back into use or redeveloping derelict buildings into modern day housing. The homes built directly by the Council as part of this programme exceed industry standards. They include important features such as sprinkler systems, innovative technologies, increased insulation standards and high air tightness. In turn this contributes to tackling fuel poverty and improving living standards. Read our latest Annual Report on the progress of the Affordable Housing Programme and the many additional employment and economic benefits of the programme. Where possible, new build homes are allocated to existing tenants in housing need - such as those in overcrowded or under-occupied houses. This makes the tenant’s old home available for us to allocate to someone else on the Housing Register. New Council homes are allocated through the Fife Housing Register (FHR). If you are a tenant of Fife Council or a tenant of the following FHR partners (Kingdom Housing Association;

Ore Valley Housing Association; Ochil View Housing Association ) and you wish to be considered for one of these new homes, please complete an FHR application form, available from any Local Office, Home4Good Centre or download here. Remember to select the areas where new properties are planned or under construction.

Try it, it's free. A good deal of reading but fascinating lives laid out for you to think about. Nice chat with very helpful museum staff. Maybe not for very young kids although there is a wee play area.

Great museum charting the life and work of John Muir from his birth in Dunbar to his journeys around the world and his life in the United States. For such a small museum it is packed with interesting facts and information about how one person made such a great impact on protecting the world we live in today. Visited with family recently - this is a great place to learn a little more about a hugely influential naturalist / conservationist. I was very interested to learn about someone who I was pretty ignorant of previously. Well laid out displays - some interactive stuff to keep children entertained. Nicely compact in a way too though - It's very good... Thank you for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed your visit and learned a little about John Muir. We are in the process of reviewing our interactives with a view to updating them, so feedback such as yours is extremely useful. Free museum, staff helpful not only about John Muir but also about his walk along coast which is best thing to do in Dunbar, apart from this museum.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, I am pleased you enjoyed your visit to John Muir's Birthplace and your walk along to beautiful coastline, Dunbar can been seen at its best when the sun shines! This is an excellent museum focused on John Muir. Across three floors it tells both his life and his achievements/legacy. The content is well displayed and engaging. There were quite a few children visiting at the same time as us and they were all clearly engaged and enjoying themselves. I think 45mins is about right to plan to visit and... Thank you for your lovely review of John Muir's Birthplace. We try to cater for all age groups and get lots of school visits during the year also. And yes, we are grateful for all donations which help with upkeep of the building and with display development. John Muir was born in Dunbar.Albeit a bit of an unsung hero this side of the Atlantic,that is not the case in the USA.If you want to know why visit his birthplace-its free.

Thank you for taking time to leave your feedback. We do have a lot of visitors from the USA, however we are finding more and more people from the UK are becoming aware of Muir and his legacy. Friends of John Muir's Birthplace have just opened a new exhibition to celebrate the Centenary of the US National Park Service. Helpful volunteers who then let you look around at you own pace. A lot to read but it was interesting. My husband liked the timeline as an overview. The only bit which didn't live up to the high standard of the rest of the displays/building is the kiddie section at the top which is un-inspiring - maybe add...Thank you for taking the time to review John Muir's Birthplace. We are currently planning our permanent exhibition repair and renewal work for this winter and will be looking at the children's area on the top floor. This area has been made available as a result of some unexpected changes. We have been trialling activities in this area to... My sister and I completed legs 9 and 10 of the John Muir then went to the museum the next day.

The museum was very informative but manageable in its size. I would definitely recommend this museum if in Dunbar. Thank you for taking the time to review John Muir's Birthplace. Most people in the UK will never have heard of John Muir - but in the USA he is a household name! Visit this attractive, well laid out museum and discover why! You can easily spend a couple of very pleasant hours here. It's free to enter - but do the decent thing and make a donation! Thank you for your lovely review, donations from visitors are very welcome as they help us enhance our displays and refresh our interactives. My friend and I visited this place and found it interesting and well laid out. Staff were really pleasant and knowledgeable. No charge to visit just have a box for donations. Thank you for leaving such a nice review, the knowledge of our staff is something we pride ourselves on. I hope you are able to return soon, we are currently planning an exhibition to mark the centenary of the National Park Service later this year.
