To the extent of our resources, we do our best to take in our system cats/kittens that are injured , too young to survive on their own, pregnant/nursing mother cats etc… foster them, vet them and place them through our adoption program in loving permanent home.Spay/neuter public educationWe firmly believe in educating and assisting the public about the need to spay/neuter their pets. NTCR works with Texas Coalition for Animal Protection to assist those in need of finding a low cost clinic and a low cost source for spay/neuter. We hope, in the future, to help low-income and fixed income families have their pets fixed at no charge . Our adoption fee is $ 140.00.Adoption Policy:We will not hold a cat or kitten. All adoptions are first come first serve except when there may be multiple requests for one animal. In the event of multiple requests, we will take your application and make a decision based on the needs of the cat/kitten and the best fit with the potential adopter.Adopters must:Be at least 21 years old Show that they can have an animal in their home if they rent.

Dogs over 6 months of age are also given a heartworm test (SNAP occult).NTCR takes in and cares for cats and kittens from local animal shelters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, rescues abandoned felines from other locations (hoarding situations and through TNR), and accepts kittens and cats surrendered by owners to the extent of its resources, which greatly rely on the availability of foster homes. NTCR and it's volunteers are sincere and diligent in their efforts to care for these abandoned animals. They are not only fed and sheltered but also vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and now microchipped.

Sometimes a special cat or kitten comes along that requires extra medical care. NTCR raises the funds needed for surgery and medicine and nurses him or her back to health. Sadly and with much regret, our resources are stretched to maximum capacity so we can't take in any more cats or kittens until we find permanent homes for those in foster care and until we have more foster parent volunteers.
