Adams led from flag to flag, ultimately crossing the finish line 9.753 seconds ahead of second place Trenton Estep of Exclusive Autosport. Estep and Roman De Angelis of Brian Graham Racing battled hard throughout the 22-minute race and traded positions several times, but Estep nipped De Angelis on the last lap to claim second place while De Angelis settled for third. While there were no full-course cautions, several competitors had individual incidents. Estep’s teammate JD Reims spun in turn 2 on the opening lap. He suffered no contact but was forced to rejoin at the rear of the field. Kevin Kapelke, making his debut in the F1600s after previously competing in the Millers Oils Formula 1200 Series, was as high as P2 in B class before he lost power and coasted to a stop at the bottom of turn 2. It was an all-Adams day as Michael’s father Stephen Adams claimed top honours in B class. Joining him on the podium are Byron Leis in P2 and David Graham in P3.
