Greyhound Friends of New Jersey, a group dedicated to saving retired racing greyhounds and placing them with loving families, will have its final "Meet and Greet" for this season Sunday at Petco in Bricktown Commons, Charleston. Members will have their dogs with them so visitors can get to know the breed. No dogs will be available for adoption at the event, but club members can help potential adopters find available greys. Volunteer rescue groups will have adorable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens at adoption events at Petsmart in Port Richmond, Pet Supplies Plus in Graniteville and Petco in New Springville and Charleston.

And you can meet animals in need of homes seven days a week at the Animal Care Centers of NYC shelter in Charleston. All the pets up for adoption are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations and ready to go.
