The fabric material looks better than I thought it would and the shades cover the windows without blocking the sunlight completely. You still get a little light or you can install them with the option to open in the daytime or do not glue them at the bottom to remove in the daytime. There are several ways to install, see sample photos. I am really happy with my purchase. Yes () No (1) Report Yes () No (1) Verified purchaser Easy to install. I suggest using a plastic miter box and very sharp knife to cut the shade to length. be sure to install with the cut end in the center of the fan to hide any imperfections in your cut. My neighbors complimented the appearance of the shade in my front window. This shade allows the light in but cuts out the glare. I was a bit concerned about quality of the product since the price was so low and the shade did look a bit flimsy right out of the box. However, once you open it up and put it in place, it really does look great! Instillation in a standard bow window is quite simple. Since our window is not perfectly shaped, I had to trim the shade slightly on either side but this was easily done with no mishaps. The actual instillation only involves placing the fan shade in the clear plastic bass (this is almost invisible after you have the shade up), removing the paper covers of the sticky strips, opening the fan in the space and with just a few adjustments to even out the ribs, your done. You won't be disappointed with this product, I only wish we had gotten it sooner. Yes (9) No (1) Report Yes (9) No (1) These arch blinds are really nice. The installation was easy and I have a few tips. 1) Measure the height of the window. The blind has a ruler measure right on it and be sure to use the marking on the blind to cut - it has some adjustment built in to fit the blind and the holder with some ease around the edge.

(It's actually about an inch shorter total.) I had two windows. For the first one I used the exact height that I had measured and selected that measurement on the ruler on the blind. It fit okay, but I thought it left a little too much room around the edge. For the second blind, I added 1/4" to my measurement and that worked better for my window. My windows were not perfectly circular - the base was an inch or two wider. 2) It's easy to cut if you use a very sharp knife. I used a sharp Chef's knife and it cut very nicely. The directions say not to use a serrated knife. The plastic holder works well and allows you to even out the pleats. The blinds look great, installed easily and you can't beat the price! Yes () No (7) Report Yes () No (7) The Redi Shade Light Filtering Fabric Redi Arch is an easy and quick fix for arch windows. However, the instructions aren't very thorough on what to do if your window isn't a perfect arch. I went on-line to try and find instructions and couldn't find out what to do.

My window is an oblong shaped arch and it took several mistakes before I could figure out how to make it work. It is only light filtering and NOT light blocking...but very pretty. I only gave it 4 stars because the instructions were not complete. To make it work for an oblong shaped arch, stretch out the center (keeping folds intact) several inches and fold over the top part little by little as you work in the curve of the arch. If you need to cut the shade, cut it the length of the very center of the arch, then stretch it out at the center for several inches and work in the curve of the arch.
