Congratulations to the 2017 Cover Girl, Vienna Kall!!2017 AADR Calendar On Sale! The AADR 2017 Calendar is on Sale!  Each month features a stunning Dachshund photo submitted by our members and friends.  These calendars are an awesome way to keep up with all of your important dates and notes for the month, and to remind you when to give your Doxie a treat!  The sale of these calendars helps us raised needed funds to provide veterinary care for the dogs we take in.  Adoption fees will never cover the expenses that some of our Doxies will incur in healing their physical needs, much less their emotional.  These funds help us give dogs a chance at a happy and healthy life.  We will be releasing some sneak peaks but let me assure you, these calendars always rock the long dog!!
We have an awesome community of friends that love on their long dogs and ensure we have some truly happy shots to showcase for your fridge, wall, and/or office!!  Our Calendar also showcases some other features celebrating the work and lives of our Rescue.  This is a community effort and we want to celebrate all the hard work and love that goes into making this a great organization.  Thanks for your support!!You can pre-order your calendars by clicking here.  Calendars will be printed and shipped this fall and will arrive at their destination in plenty of time for Christmas gifts!! Here are some of our featured Dachshunds!  Please consider making a difference in their lives!!  All of these pups have been with us for a while.  They have seen other dogs come and go, because they have been waiting for you!  Can you be the difference maker in their lives?   (Click on the name banner to see more info and to apply!) Hi everyone, my name is Rosie and I’m from Memphis, TN.
I was surrendered to rescue by a family member of an abusive back-yard breeder.  It was the best day of my life when they found someone that was a member of All American Dachshund Rescue that lived in my home town.  They immediately took me into their family even though I had many medical and social issues.  I couldn’t walk on my hind legs and it was feared that I had Intevertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) but the rescue did a myelogram and I didn’t have a ruptured disc after all (yippie!), it was nerve damage so they started my laser therapy and today I’m up and walking the wobble walk 80% of the time.  I will do best if you keep to a strict potty routine, I’m no problem at all.  I’m waryof strangers and do get a little on the defensive side but if you give me my space, show kindness, patience and love I will stick to you like glue on paper. I’m currently going to behavioral modification sessions at ProTrain and taking Prozac to help calm my stress/fear factors. I like my sessions with Mr. Bailey and look forward to each one.
I love my foster siblings but am not fond of the larger breed dogs.  Children make me very nervous so a mature older couple or individual is preferred.  My foster mom’s sister has a cat and I get along with her just fine.  I’m very scared of storms so just keep me close to you during the thunder and lighting. I am leash trained but only on grass, concrete is not my best friend. I don't mind being crated for a little while but if you plan on being gone all day it brings back too many sad memories. I love the big bed with my foster mom.  I must be adopted within a 300 mile radius of Memphis, TN and my furever family must be willing to meet half-way for a lengthy meet and greet. Are you the forever home that is willing to take on a challenge and make me the perfect part of your family forever? To learn more about me and to fill out an application Click Here.  I am hoping you can be the home that helps me bloom into the companion animal I can be.  Will you let me love on you and experience joy!
Hi everyone, I'm Baron.  I was adopted a few weeks ago to a really nice lady, but she's gone a lot during the day and I don't like being alone especially when there are no humans that stay home or that have other pups in the home.  So due to no fault of mine or hers she returned me so that my foster mom could help me find a home where I'd be better suited. Can you be the home that takes in this guy and makes him feel loved?  Please visit his page on our site (click here) for more info or to complete an application for him. See more photos of Baron in this video: Hi my name is Brittany and I came in from Western KY when my owner left her husband and left me and 5 other dachshunds with him. He didn’t want us either so we were not well cared for but finally he got in touch with AADR to see if they would take us. It really was the best day when a member got us because we knew then we would not be neglected any longer. Don’t get me wrong, he wasn’t mean to us but he ignored us and we got no attention and as you well know, we Dachshunds love attention so I’m kinda an attention hog now.
I love, love lap time. I would lay in your lap 24/7 if you’d let me and when I don’t have a lap then give me a big fluffy blanket and I’ll burrow in that till the cows come home!! I only have two very minor drawbacks….I want you to go outside with me when I go potty because I want you to be proud of me and I have my right eye that has dry eye so I have to have meds to put in that eye. One drop twice a day and my eye looks great. I will be coming with a supply of it when you adopt me, the rescue is good that way they take great care of us foster doggies. Brittany will need to be on a strict potty schedule and when you leave either a crate with a big fluffy blanket or an enclosed area would work great for her. She’d be fine as an only dog or with another male dog. She came in quite chunky so you’ll have to monitor her weight; we’ve worked to get her weight down and now she needs to maintain. This little girl would be great for an older couple that wants a quiet girl who is low maintenance and just wants a lap to lay in….fenced in yard would be best too.

She is highly adaptable and very loveable! Smokie will follow you everywhere and gladly sleep with you all night. She really is a very sweet, small, and beautiful little girl.  And, oh yes, kisses are plentiful! Smokie would love to have a furever home to call her own!  Sammy is the Barksdog for AADR.You can see his story HERE.consider making your purchases through to benefit our pups! All American Dachshund Rescue is expanding throughout the country and is in desperate need of help in each and every state except for CT, RI and MA(laws in those states will not let us have foster homes unless we are approved by the Dept. of Ag and their rules are too numerous to fulfill).
