She is doing really well, and will NOT have to have any surgery on her leg. She is using the leg and limps some, but doctor feels that might abate in time. She has gained a pound and will return next week to get the wires out of her jaw. The wires and stitches have not impeded her appetite and her foster mom reports she never spills her food or makes a mess! There is a potential adopter on the horizon; so things look good for this little angel. Donations are still needed to offset the bills incurred to mend Miss Nasura............

We are trying to find his owners. He is a young, very handsome silver/gray/blue tabby with light/bright green eyes. What is a Community Cat? Community cats include the following: • Cats born and raised in the wild. • Cats that have been abandoned or lost and turned to wild ways in order to survive. While some community cats tolerate a bit of human contact, most are too fearful and wild to be handled. Let’s discuss the truth behind the places which produce litter after litter of puppies……… Puppy mills are inhumane puppy-breeding commercial facilities that value profits over the health or well-being of the dogs used as breeding stock. Greed, not animal’s interest is the motivator. They sell their "product” to pet stores, on-line, in classified ads and flea markets. Next time you visit a local flea mark...et with adorable animals for sale, remember this! Commercial puppy-breeding is a multi-billion dollar industry. And it's an ugly one. Just review the pictures –how can a human condemn an animal to conditions such as these? Commercial puppy-breeders maximize their profit at the expense of the welfare of the dogs, inhumanely confined and bred continuously until their feeble bodies give out. They hide the truth from the public by selling their puppies to unsuspecting consumers refusing to reveal where or how the puppy was born and raised.
When you see a cute puppy for sale at the flea market; ask to see the facility and the parents where it was born. 99% of the time the answer will be NO! Animals are confined their entire lives in small cages filled with fetid water and food, feces and improper shelter. Many dogs never touch the ground living their entire lives on wire. Often they are bred again while still nursing the last litter. No regular health care is afforded the breeding animals so any issues are passed down to puppies, litter after litter. These babies are sold as ‘first class’ animals usually for high fees, $300 to $500 and up, with the promise of one round of puppy shots given, but no vet records to accompany and verify this. All puppies need worming but this is rarely done. Many of the breeding animals are cage crazy as they can barely move in their confined area. Do not be fooled by people who sell these animals locally that these adorable puppies came from good circumstances. The law is vague on this; the breeder rarely holds a kennel license and sells for cash and therefore avoids paying taxes as well.
