They are sending a replacement part. I've a newly installed Moen 87690SRS faucet whose pressure is really low compared to the old faucet. The separate sprayer has a good amount of pressure. A new cartridge did not fix the lower pressure faucet problem. What else should we try to do in order to increase the pressure? Sometimes replacing fixtures will break loose crud that will end up in 1 of 3 usual places: At the shut off valve/connection hose At the aerator screen Start at the aerator, its the easiest to check. Make a water check with the aerator off. You can flush out the aerator in reverse at that time. Be careful to reassemble in the reverse order, you wouldn't want to leave the restrictor plate off accidentally. The Moen 87690SRS faucet is rated at a flow rate of 2.2 gpm (gallons per minute).
See the specs here. You may want to test out the actual flow rate in the sink through measurement. If it comes in close to the flow rate of 2.2 gpm then the only way you are going to see a more energetic stream of water in this sink is to look for another model with a higher gpm rating. Note that this model of faucet does not have an adjustable flow rate but some other fancier models may have that feature.Browse other questions tagged plumbing or ask your own question. This question is from Banbury Single-Handle Low-Arc Standard Kitchen Faucet with Side Sprayer on Deck in Chrome The current Price-Pfister faucet we have in our kitchen has no side-sprayer and the escutcheon has no "hole" for a side-sprayer and we certainly don't have a separate sprayer with its own escutcheon . . . so, without taking the old faucet assembly off the sink, I even wonder if our sink has a hole for ANY side-sprayer (possibly hidden by the current escutcheon). Do most sinks / counters come with pre-drilled / pre-cut holes for a side-sprayer such as this model?
Seems like for most faucets the sink / counter has a separate hole for a separate side-sprayer, not one that sits in the same escutcheon like this model . . . PLEASE HELP, I need advice on what to do if there is no hole for the side-sprayer! I think we'd like to have a side-sprayer and it might help when we get ready to sell and move on . . . thoughts? Are most new installs / kitchen "re-dos" with or without side-sprayer?
