He's quite good with children and makes a loyal and affectionate family pet. All shades of red, wheaten, black and tan, or grizzle. Hard, wiry and straight, lying close to the body with a definite undercoat. Norwich Terriers are intelligent and playful. Very happy dogs, they make great family pets. He is big but not real heavy at only 60 lbs, looks like about a year old, not quite done growing yet, tall for his age and weig...ht, his back is nearly to my waist! I have had all his shots and rabies done at my own expense. He is a great housedog and sleeps on the floor next to our bed. He'll get into things when I'm gone so I crate him when away from home. He is crate trained. He'd make a great farm or ranch dog UNLESS you have chickens, (he will chase chickens!!) He will jump a four foot fence so don't count on a low fence to keep him in. I do not want him kept in a dog pen!!! He is very gentle and sweet, somewhat timid when outside until he gets used to you. I let him run loose outside on our property to potty but he comes right back in the house. Loves everyone that comes in the house whether he knows them or not. Gets along great with our adult mastiff. Wants to play with the small dogs but they ignore him. Rides well for short distances, not sure about long distances though. I want a FOREVER home for him and other than the chicken chasing, he has been a wonderful dog the two weeks I have fostered him.
