Seat Covers For A Oldsmobile Alero

About the 2000 Oldsmobile Alero The Oldsmobile Alero is a sporty, compact car available as a four-door sedan or two-door coupe. It offers a surprisingly roomy rear seat and sizable trunk space, making it a practical choice as a family car. The rear seat can be folded down for even more cargo space, plus the low height at the trunk entrance makes it easier to lift groceries, luggage and other cargo over the rear bumper. Aleros were built by General Motors at its Lansing, Michigan, plant. Sharing its chassis with the Pontiac Grand Am, the Alero was equipped with a rigid body structure that yielded the benefits of a larger car – more precise suspension, a smoother ride and better handling. It also performed well in side-impact crash tests due its sturdy door construction consisting of tubular beams and strategically-placed foam blocks. Amazingly, the Alero sedan was sold in select European markets as a Chevrolet model, even with the Oldsmobile logo. The Alero made its debut in 1999, replacing the poorly-selling Oldsmobile Achieva.
During its five-year lifespan, there were few changes. Initially, the four-speed automatic was the only transmission available, but in 2001 the five-speed manual appeared as an option in the GX and GL trims. A year later, Oldsmobile modified the Alero's four-cylinder engine, replacing the 2.4-liter engine with a more fuel efficient and quieter 2.2-liter. The V6 engine remained constant in the GLS trim. Other changes affecting all models included an improved anti-lock brake system in 2001 and a reduction from high-beam to low-beam daytime running lamps in 2003. The Alero was available in three trim lines: base GX, mid-grade GL and top-line GLS. Its standard features included automatic transmission, daytime running lights, air conditioning, cruise control and ABS with traction control. The interior was designed with front bucket seats, seat-mounted seat belts and user-friendly audio and climate controls. A strong exterior feature was its large taillights that wrapped around the corners of the car, making them highly visible from a distance.
Production ended for the Alero in 2004, coinciding with the announcement by GM of its plans to phase out the Oldsmobile brand. The final Alero models became an exclusive production called the Final 500 Edition. This special edition was numbered consecutively (1-500) and custom designed with dark cherry metallic paint, vintage Oldsmobile logos and plates displaying each car's designated number. Alero #500 received honorary treatment, since it was the last built Oldsmobile model. It was signed under its hood by all the employees at the Lansing plant and then donated to the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum, taking its place in American history 2000 Oldsmobile Alero Popular Trims Oldsmobile Alero GL Coupe 2-Door Oldsmobile Alero GL Sedan 4-Door Oldsmobile Alero GLS Coupe 2-Door Oldsmobile Alero GLS Sedan 4-Door Oldsmobile Alero GX Coupe 2-Door Oldsmobile Alero GX Sedan 4-Door 2000 Oldsmobile Alero for sale 2000 Oldsmobile Alero Parts & Accessories

For example, when installing a car cover, do not install on newly painted vehicles. Convertible tops, windows, sun and moon roofs must be closed completely before covering your vehicle. Do not use a cover while the vehicle is in motion.
In cold environments, do not remove the cover in the unusual circumstance that a layer of ice has formed between the cover and the vehicle. Pour warm water over the cover to expedite thawing, as this ice must be thawed before removal. Do not rely solely on the elasticized bottom of the cover in even moderate winds. Utilize the integrated security grommets in any substantial wind. If high wind conditions are present (30+mph), the covers should not be used. Please use extreme caution when reaching under power seats to install seat covers - some seats have sharp mechanisms. Coverking not responsible for vinyl vehicle wraps.
