In the shouting that ensued as the man tried to get his dog off Ernie, Flora bolted. That was at 10 this morning and I haven't seen her since though I've been there all day. It is a safe area with a lot of hiding places. I'm hoping she will emerge tonight or very early tomorrow morning. I'm going back there again soon and will wait overnight. They have gained weight in kennels due to lack of activity so they are naturally lighter than this, and apparently they really like to run. They are tall and have a prancing gait. Unfortunately they are not doing well in kennels. They are so alike in every way but color, and the kennel is wondering if they are a type of breed. If they are I can't see what, can see similarities to certain breeds but not one single breed? They could of course be crossbreeds but litter mates. Anyway I said I'd ask if anyone had any ideas of their breeding?

Heute kam der sieben Jahre alte Ben bei uns an. Ein Sloughi-Rüde. Leider ging es dem Buben gesundheitlich so schlecht, daß wir ihn sofort in die Klinik bringen ...mußten, die ihn auch da behalten hat. Morgen wissen wir mehr. Unsere Isabell hat den ersten Teil des Fahrdienstes übernommen, und die kleine Sahara mitgebracht, die auf diese Weise mit Mama Liza spielen konnte. Spätestens wenn man so etwas gucken darf, dann weiß man, daß ein Sloughi allein gar nicht geht... Unser Thomas übernahm die weitere Strecke, um Ben in die Wüste zu bringen. Also Sahara lebt nun bei unserer Isabell und Saphi bei Birgit. Letztere hat als Gefährtin eine zwei Jahre alter Dobermann-Rhodesion Ridgeback-Mix-Hündin und das paßt u.E.. Hier noch die letzten Fotos zu zweit. Aber wir sind uns sicher, daß die zwei Schwestern sich regelmäßig wiedersehen dürfen. Wir wünschen den beiden Süßen alles alles Gute in ihrem Leben und hoffe ab und zu an ihrem Leben teilhaben zu dürfen - kurz wir wollen Bilder! Jetzt sucht nur noch Mama-Sloughi. Heute dann wurde der Afghanen-Bub Moritz von seinem neuen Frauchen abgeholt. Wir sind ja ganz glücklich, wir hatten nämlich ein Plätzchen "auf Lager", das auf den passenden Hund von uns gewartet hat.
