In order to make your stay as safe and comfortable as possible we would like you to read the following guidelines and convey them to all of the guests in your party. -Please ensure that all garbage and recycling is placed in containers provided.-The toilet is a composting toilet but still flushes the same as a normal toilet-The outdoor shower runs off of the hot water tank under the kitchen sink. If you use up all of the hot water, it takes about 20 min. to heat the tank up again.

Certain times of the year the well water has more sulphur in it than others. If you smell a little sulphur it is just natural, it will not hurt you.-If you are making a fire in the fire pit, please ensure that it is attended at all times and it does not get too big. You can use any wood that is around but if you want to make certain you have wood you will need to bring some with you.-Pets are welcome however they should be kept down in The Treehouse area. Many of the neighbours have pets and we would hate to see your pet take off and end up in a scrap with a Lanark bulldog!-The electrical breaker panel is under the kitchen counter in the event that a breaker is tripped.-Please leave The Treehouse in the same condition you found it in, with the exception of the beds. We will be stripping the linens and washing them, so no need to make the beds.-Check in anytime after 3 pm and check-out is anytime before noon.-Absolutely NO SMOKING in The Treehouse. We have provided ashtrays in various areas around The Treehouse and if you are down by the fire pit please throw your butts into it.-If glass is broken somewhere outside, please do your best to pick up all of the pieces as many people walk around barefoot here.-We are nicely secluded so you really don’t need to worry about how loud you are

, however our main house is quite close to the Treehouse so if we are around we simply ask that after midnight the noise level goes down to a dull roar!-Small children should be closely supervised (for obvious reasons). It is a wondrous place for kids and we love sharing but we certainly would hate to see anyone hurt.-All books are fully available to read while you are here. If you would like to take a book home with you likely we will say yes, but please ask first.-Deposit to hold the reservation can be made by cash, cheque, e-transfer or PayPal. Balance is due at check-in by cash only. Taxes are included in the room rental price.-Please do your best not to damage anything. If something major is broken while you are here just let us know, we are pretty easy going but do expect you to pay for any damages that your party creates.You can sit in the rapids on lounge chairs to cool off or right in the water for that matter. There is also a sweet little public swimming spot which we call Shangri-la (not known by too many people) about 200 meters from the property.

Just go out the driveway, turn right and walk to the bottom of the hill. When you see the hand pump on the right hand side, you have arrived.-If you don’t want to be swatting mosquitoes while you sleep, make sure that you close doors behind you during the day. It may not look like there are any bugs around during the heat of the day but you would be surprised how many will get in if doors are not closed behind you.-This is a treehouse so there are spiders, bugs and various critters living in and around the trees that it is built in.-The fishing rods are at your disposal but you will need to provide your own tackle and bait.-We provide towels and linens for guests and simply ask that you leave them all when you go.-The water in the tap is not only drinkable but it is some of the best water anywhere.-There is a small oven, a microwave, a hotplate and a coffee maker at your disposal. There is also a propane BBQ outside for you to use.-We provide pots and pans, all plates, glasses, cutlery etc.
