We make it easy for you to start living in your Wheelhaus. Founder and CEO, Jamie Mackay, was raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. His father worked in log cabin construction, which instilled in Jamie at a young age the value of quality construction that is built to last. Jamie’s original intention was to buy a Recreational Park Trailer. Touring multiple companies, he realized that nothing was being produced that met his high standards. With this experience as his impetus he set out to create the next generation of Park Model Homes. His intention was to provide the same quality and durability as the log cabins he grew up with, while incorporating his values of green production and modern design.
The finished result is Wheelhaus. The Rolling Cabins are a blend of rustic and modern. At the core, they are inspired by the durability and quality craftsmanship of log cabins. Wheelhaus blends these classic ideals with a modern focus on energy efficiency, innovative design, progressive space management, sustainable building practices and top of the line building materials. These methods help Wheelhaus to exceed the requirements for the Gold standard with the U.S. Green Building Council. Our Rolling Cabins are completely unique in the RPT industry. Innovative design, space management, high standards of quality, top of the line materials, creativity and a passion for sustainable building practices, all combine to produce the most extraordinary RPTs in existence. Our cabins are designed to offer a combination of rustic and modern aesthetics. The “Wedge” design features an angled roof, which starts low above the bedroom and builds to 17 feet in the living room. Trapezoidal windows grow similarly from back to front, offering natural light while maintaining privacy.
The front of the cabin is almost entirely glass. A large sliding glass door opens to a private deck. Each cabin has one bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen/living room and a private deck. The ceilings and exterior side are covered with rustic cedar siding with a barnwood patina colored stain. The bedrooms are sized to fit a king size bed with two side tables and linen lamp style sconces. A set of four drawers and an under-counter hanging closet support a butcher-block counter top, which also serves as a desk. A 42-inch Internet accessible HD flat screen television is mounted above the desk. Track lighting is available for properly lighting art work. The kitchen/living room was designed to offer both comfort and functionality. The mini-kitchen features a two-burner cook top, an under counter refrigerator, a microwave, a dishwasher, a sink, concrete countertops and modern rustic cabinetry. A large bomber leather sofa, two cowhide ottomans, two barn wood side tables, custom made wrought iron lamps and railroad cart coffee tables make up living room furnishings.
A mini-high efficiency gas burning fireplace warms the room. Above the fireplace is another 42 inch HD flat-screen television. Our bathrooms are also small but functional. Heavy duty glass showers, Kohler toilets and custom vanities with concrete countertops/sinks and quartzite floors, combine to produce very well appointed facilities.Yamaha Yz250f Seat Cover Recreational Park Trailers (RPTs) or Park Model RV’s are recreation vehicles designed as temporary living quarters and vacation rentals at campgrounds and RV Parks. Each Park Trailer is certified by the RPTIA member manufacturer as complying with ANSI Standard A119.5. In addition to certification by RPTIA, RPTs host Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN). As RPTs are defined as recreational vehicles, they are considered a similar use at campgrounds and RV Parks. This is a great benefit, as a certified RPT with a VIN may be towed to a campground and parked – no questions asked! All WheelHaus RPTs are certified and stamped with a VIN prior to leaving the manufacturing plant. The Standard covers over 500 individual safety related requirements that must be complied with in the production and/or repair of Park Trailers. The requirements found in this Standard (either directly or by reference) include sections covering electrical, plumbing, structural, heating & AC, fire, and life safety issues.
